Hi all, thank you for your time.

I recently bought this AMQ bag charm, I just really liked the embroidered rooster and I figured I could match it with some outfits. I didn't pay much attention to the hardware that was attached, but I can not figure out why it is there...

There's a "brass wing hook and keychain" according to the description, I'm genuinly interesed in what's the use of this... Hope anyone can help me. On the back of the bag charm there's a small "pocket", not sure what to do with that either. I guess I could put a very tiny name tag in it, but getting it out without ripping the leather would be a challenge.
I'm sure I'm mussing something here... Am I that dense?

Thank you in advance.

AMQ? I think I'm dense as I cannot figure out what brand this is? :whut: I LOVE the Bag charm!

ETA: Maybe I need another strong coffee!

Maybe the bag can also be clipped to some types of bags like totes?
How big is the charm?
Its quite big, the leather charm with the rooster is 9cm (3.54 inches), the leather 'strap' about 7cm (2.56 inches) when looped around and the hardware is another 7.5cm (2.95 inches).
I believe it was called a "Heroine" bag charm, which I believe to be a type of AMQ bag, but I can't find out what would be the function, as I can only find pictures of similar bag charms without the hardware.

I would get a lot of use out of a keychain hook like that, I’m forever sliding the key fob of mine into my pocket and leaving the keys dangling.

However since the item is for Chinese Year of the Rooster and new year celebrations of giving red envelopes with money, I suspect the pocket is to stash some cash and the hook is to easily hang decoratively on a tree branch. Very cute keychain!

Might be, however the opening on the bottom of the hardware is rather small (no bigger than 0.5cm (0.2 inches)) , and what would the function of the keyring be then, seems like an easy pickpocket

Oh oh, maybe it’s for the inner picket? Like dangling over the inner pocket so you can see it easier when you reach for the keys (for the key rings). It’s all so weird!
