What is the most necessary chanel bag to have?

^^And another vote for the classic flap. It's so timeless and just a classic Chanel bag.

I have to say that I never was a fan until joining TPF. I think it is partially the access issue, partially that they seemed dated to me (though I am coming around!) and partially the lack of space. I love Chanel totes with an open top that I can easily reach into as I am a SAHM of two young kids and I am always in and out of my bag. I think that when my time is freed up I will have to invest in a flap for shopping in the city. For now, I say the trusty old GST. To me it is the epitome of a fresh, young Chanel.

I bought the backpack and a bowler bag which I love but regret that I didn't get the classic flap. It's like the LV Speedy... its just a classic.
