I've tried and tried to use my Work as a laptop bag/purse for the day and it drives me nuts!!! How do you get the laptop to stay in its place and not flop and slide around?

I have used my city for a laptop bag. If you don't carry much else (other than wallet and small stuff), it works!
I think my laptop is just big, LOL. It fits pretty perfectly inside the Work.
Although I have been toying with the idea of getting a WE and was worried about that: will my laptop get swallowed up in the WE and make it look weirdly pulled???

RANT! I've had enough! Tried so many times to use my gorgey Black GGH Work as a laptop bag and I can't take it anymore! 
Everytime I try i'm fumbling, bumbling, and rearranging each time I take something out of the bag. Bag falls over, the bag puddles around the contents, on and on and on! Any tips on making this WORK!!! AAAHHHH
This bugged me so much I just bought an LV Cabas Mezzo to handle the situation...I didn't want to do it, but I had to...

I also have a Work and it doesn't have enough structure to hold computer and files without them going sideways
