what is exotic and non-exotic leather?

what is exotic leather? and non-exotic leather?
I have no where else to learn better than here, thank you so much!!!

Current exotics would be Crocodile, Alligator, Ostrich and Lizard.

The rest are non-exotic skins

Exotic: crocodile, alligator, lizard, ostrich
Non-exotic: Togo, Clemance, Fjord, Epsom...etc..all other leathers except exotics that is mentioned above.

yep

anything coming from bovine = non exotic (lambskin too)

anything coming from bird or reptile =exotic

anything coming from anywhere else = semi exotic (goat)

Frankly, I'd say barenia is pretty "exotic" these days...
