Hi! My names Leena and I turn 18 in September. I’m trying to pick a first luxury handbag and I’m having some trouble deciding! My favorites are these so far:

Alma bb Vernis in cherry
Alma bb in Daniel ebene
Fendi peekaboo Mini in Black
Givenchy antigona Small in either sugar or calfskin

What do you guys think? Or do you have any other suggestions for me? Something age appropriate pls! I appreciate your help a lot!![emoji177][emoji4]

Fendi peekaboo out of those options since it’s easy to match since it’s black, is made of a durable leather that is easy to maintain and has decent comparments inside unlike the Alma which is more of a void. The Vernis is very pretty but is less versatile.

Other options include the max mara Whitney crossbody and Dioradict.

I think one of the LV's... the red one is definitely age appropriate, but you might get sick of it quicker than the DE, which I think is way more versatile. The other two bags look a bit too mature (unless you're super mature lol, and that's the look you're going for! I feel like they're a bit more "Madame" if you know what I mean..)

You helped me a lot. I’m def not going for a madame look [emoji32] I definitely am going for the LV’s. Though the red one is prettier in my opinion, I agree that the bright red I may get sick of whereas the DE is timeless and classic. Thank you soo much![emoji177] have a wonderful day!! :)

I would spend some time trying them on in store and googling various pictures of them on Instagram and blogs to get an idea of how they might fit your lifestyle.

I added some photos as options.

Another vote for the Alma in DE....the red patent is great, but not as versatile for a first bag, and the Fendi/Givenchy look quite “business” to me. If you like Givenchy, I think the Pandora is a great choice at your age. Happy birthday! [emoji4]

I agree that you can't really go wrong with DE in just about any style. It's age appropriate at 18, but it will still be appropriate when you're 28 or 38.

Is this bag being gifted to you for your birthday? If so, good for you and happy birthday. If you're paying for this bag yourself, I'd encourage you to go the pre-loved route. Most 18yos don't exactly have a lot of money, so spend less on this bag and save your money for more important things, like college and moving out and other things that will move you forward into adulthood. A handbag is great, it's fun, but it's not really that important in the grand scheme of things. There will always be another bag when you have the other pieces of your life in place and you can spare the money for a designer bag.
