My safe bet has always been medium (enough to fit an iPad) “work tote” types of bags in black or nude color, but I was wondering what else could work. What are your choices that you own already?
agree that it depends on what church one goes to. Here in So Cal - even in a very nice/affluent part of the county you will see people showing up at church (I'm taking about a large Catholic church) in shortsAnything that isn't too (as in very) casual, worn, big or has too many logos should be fine.
It also depends on your church and outfit that you wear. If you want to fit in, I guess look at what other people are wearing.
good points...also if you are going to leave your seat for communion you might want crossbody for that reasonDepends on what you wear to church. If you normally bring a medium sized work type tote of neutral color, and i assume that those styles go with your clothing, I’d say any neutral color, relatively simple, crossbody camera, flap, or top handle could work. probably not overly logo -ed or embellished. @JenJBS mentioned some nice bag brands that she bought for church aNd other outings. if i were going to church or synagogue, i would personally prefer something small and crossbody/hands free. My current favorite is the Loewe mini puzzle. Just bc when i see people kneeling, i worry about their open tote or other bag left on the pew behind them. But maybe that is just me
