I really can't believe I'm doing this...
I turn my back for a second, and those dang whipsters are up in NYC hanging out with the Mew Crew. You guys know how dangerous Winky is. And when Jinjy is backing him...
Well, let's just say that Rocket and Moose are grounded and have lost all privileges. Fortunately, influenced by Winky's fabulous taste and Cody's mama's gorgeous eye, they can't go too wrong.
In one whirlwind afternoon, we hit Reinstein/Ross and had some loose stones set. I'm going to try for a pic in better lighting, because the stones are way more vibrant than these pictures show. The emerald in the pendant is a gorgeous grass green, and the rubies are a perfect, deep red. None of which is visible in my crappy pics. But at least you can see the fabulous R/R workmanship. The ruby ring and the emerald pendant have never been done by R/R before, and shipping was delayed while the shop had them photographed. The designers and craftsmen were really pleased with how well they turned out, but of course, they're not half as pleased as I am.
The small band is made of 22kt yellow gold with seven .40 ct burmese rubies. The diamond is one of their stock bands in 22kt apricot gold with a c. 1960s E/VVS2 roughly 2 carat emerald cut center stone. I have zero idea on the emerald stats at this point, since it's been around since I was 14. It's got the granulation work R/R is known for, and it's in 22 kt yellow gold. I got a matching handmade chain from R/R in 22 kt yellow gold.
blahblahblah, anyway, I am really pleased with them. I'm so pleased that I actually did a reveal, and I generally think most of my stuff is way too boring to reveal.
