What does this stamp mean on the right closing strap of my Birkin?

So I was looking at the right closing strap on my Birkin and noticed this square stamp. It is impossible to make it out completely...this was the best picture I could get. Does anyone have any clue what it means?

Hello, Haut.....the little symbol is the gold hallmark..... a trademark of the company who supplied the gold used in this Hermes metal clasp.

if a hermes kelly bag has the hallmark stamp on the closing strap..does that mean the bag is the real deal?
