What does bag marking indicate?

I bought a Chloe Faye Day pre-loved a little while back, and it came with a numbered marking on the inside of the bag. I’ve had it professionally authenticated, so it’s genuine, but I’m wondering if anyone here knows what this number means? Is it a “test bag”? Or is it a reject? I’ve noticed that the hardware of the top handle differs slightly from that of other bags of this style.

I have a Marc Jacobs with a mark like this - just means it was a sale bag, heavily reduced, so people cant return it and claim the full retail price. Sometimes its for staff sales as well.
