I just bought my first bag - a black camera bag with ghw. I’m wondering what others use to store their hand sanitizer in. I have had my sanitizer open several times in my current bag and leak all over so I am worried about that happening in my camera bag. Thanks in advance!

I use the hand sanitizer spray bottles now rather than the gel. You can get them at Bath and Body Works or Nordstrom. These pump style stray bottles are more secure. I also try to keep those in a pouch if going inside a bag.

I've carried hand sanitizer for a decade and I think I've had one leak. You just have to be careful and remember to carefully close the bottle!
Most often I keep my hand sanitizer in a holder outside the bag. That way if there's a leak, I'll notice it. I also have a backup sanitizer in my bag; I keep it in a Kipling nylon pouch with masks, disinfectant wipes and latex gloves.

Now that it's fall, I carry my sanitizer in the coat or jacket pocket - it's handier and cleaner that way. But when I kept my sanitizer in my bag, I always made sure I put it in the catch-all pouch and make sure I zip it up, lest it leaks.

I actually had a scare once. I used the sanitizer, was too busy to put it inside the pouch, so I just tossed it into the bag. A few seconds later, however, I thought to myself, "No, you should do things properly." So I reached into the bag, grabbed the bottle, and realized that somehow, the cap became loose! In a few minutes, it would've leaked everywhere inside my beautiful Givenchy - all over my wallet, my notebook, my phone, you get the picture. After that, I always made sure the sanitizer bottle is closed tight.
