What do you think of this pendant ?

Cost/value ? For my mom's 60th birthday . She saw it in a shop a while ago and mentioned it was beautiful ! Is MOP really fragile ?
Any opinions / advice welcome

I think it's beautiful and feminine. Your mom will love it. MOP is not fragile, and definitely not as a pendant. Your mom should take it off though when showering/bathing/swimming. I love MOP, it's iridescent and glows.

Very pretty. I am sure your mom will love it, especially since you remembered she said she liked it! You're a wonderful daughter.

Beautiful! Is she born in June? If so, how perfect….mother of pearl for your June mother! Or in any case….

I’m not well-versed in judging value but considering how much VCA, Chaumet, and Cartier charge for gold MOP pendants, this one seems like a nice value and unique. It should wear well as long as she doesn’t swim/shower with it on.

I really like it too and it doesn't need any particular care
As we are two siblings, I was thinking of adding a message "we are the branches and you are our star "

I like this one better than the first. It has little diamonds which will twinkle. Plus, as you said, it is carefree and it can be worn all the time if she wants. Something else that she may like is that the chain is looped through a bale. The chain in the other necklace is connected to the pendant, so the pendant cannot move and it my stuck i an awkward position. The difference is subtle, but I want to point it out. I prefer this one. Good choice.

I think I prefer the first pendant. To me the bale disrupts the shape of the second. But really, what I think doesn't matter. You know that your mum liked both pieces, so this isn't an issue for her.
