What do you think of this Dionysus?

Hi,

Nice to see you all, I’m new here.

I’ve been thinking about getting a Dionysus bag, but I’m not sure which one.. I really like the plain canvas one with taupe suede, but I’m afraid it’s going to be outdated at some point. Then I saw this. Is it too..brown? Boring? I don’t know. Actually I think brown as a very classic colour but it’s not in fashion at the moment, which is fine by me actually, but I’m still thinking if it’s too boring or too big? Does it looks like a briefcase? There doesn’t seems to be any photo of this bag in the Purseforum.

So, I’d be happy to get some opinions from you. Thank you in advance!

I like brown as a colour, but somehow not this dionysus. I don’t know why, but it doesn’t work for me :/ maybe it’s the size or the contrast with the green?

Honestly, I don't think brown works with this bag.
And yes, it does look a bit like a briefcase.

Brown's a great neutral color to have, but maybe in a smaller size? This particular size seems a bit too blocky in brown.

I disagree with previous posters. I really like this bag in brown leather. It gives it a vintage flare.

I know what you all mean. I love the vintage vibe of the bag, but at the same time I think if it’s too briefcasey or boxy. There’s no Gucci store in my country and I think this bag is sold out already, so preloved market is the place to go, so I can’t unfortunately try it on.. I haven’t seen this bag in small size either, I think the medium one is the only version. The black came in small size, but I have enough black bags.

Love to hear more opinions!

It did at least come in both this and the large (called medium?) size. I'll insert pictures, I found one where the large one is worn by a model, maybe that can give you a better idea of how it would look in you!

But it did come in both the small and large size! I'll insert pictures, I found one where it's worn by a model. You may be able to find One in the smaller size if you think the larger one is too big for you!

Thank you! Actually I know this size, this is the mini version, which I think is too small for me. The small size (the size between mini and medium) could work for me, but I think this bag didn’t came in it, unfortunately..

I think it also depends on the way you style the bag as well. I like the way the black version is styled in this picture. I think the colour might look vintage but the green and red Gucci web make it modern.

I think it’s very classy! A brown bag might be a nice change up if you have a lot of black bags. I like this size...but I like big bags...

This seems to be quite controversial bag I guess. Actually, I think it’s not that big. I have a Chloe Faye, which is actually bigger than this and I don’t find it big at all. I’m not sure why this looks bigger in photos, maybe it’s almost full in every pic...
