Hello, beautiful people! So I found this bicolor Pure Classic Flap at my local consignment store. I’ve been wanting a medium classic flap for so long. But the price has gone so crazy! So I turned to preloved market ofc :biggrin:
If I get this, This would be my 3rd chanel (apart of mini rectangle in black caviar GHW and WOC in navy caviar GHW).
I love how different and unique it is from the classic quilted or chevron medium flap and I dont see many people carrying this style.

my concern is: do you think it’s ‘classic’ enough to be forever in my collection? Since this is my first medium flap I want something that can last a really long time.

should I get it or ditch it?

any input would be appreciated. TIA!

It's too formal for me, but I like it.

I actually like it. It’s definitely on the dressier but I can see it working with a more casual outfit.

The only thing that should matter is if you like it and you can see yourself using it.

I also don't think this would age well. It's interesting at first glance but I've often found that is a red flag; it means that there's novelty there that may wear off quickly. I prefer bags that are understated on first appearance with subtle features and details that emerge over time, but that's just me.

I could imagine catching myself in a mirror wearing this and wonder if people were thinking I was lugging around a black binocular case with the flap flung open! :shocked:

Yes I agree with the above. It is the classic medium size though. It was during a time when Chanel was releasing the "naked" look where the flaps and bags didn't have quilts. It was a hit or miss. Some people loved it and some didn't. If you love it, then get it.
I never really liked the "naked" look.
