What do you think of these BV patent boots

I've been thinking of these boots ever since I tried them on. Just not sure how much use I'd get out of them since they are patent. They almost look like a rain boot. What do you think? Patent still wearable in a few years? I need to start buying things from now on that I'll wear for a long time. I'm spending to much on trendy stuff.

I didn't really like them when I tried them on....they really do look like rain boots, if that's the look you're aiming for then go for it, but i personally think they're too expensive for a rain boot. I just bought these Chloe boots ~

What about these by bottega they look like patent but no heel-too much of a rain boot feel too? i love those gladiator sandals by the way-very hot!
