What do you think of the V&R Bombette bag?

I've been made aware of this bag recently by my friend (who has a small pink one) and it seems like a very nice and durable bag from a respectable designer. I love all the details especially the little 'Flowerbomb' bottle-like styling at the end of the handles, and the lovely geometric shape. It also seems very practical, with a cross body strap and a zipper closure.

I was thinking of getting this as a present for the GF (It seems like most/all my threads are about gift-giving, LOL ), however, I am not a fool and I don't just spend money like crazy. Spending $2500 CAD (with tax) on a bag from a 'not-popular' contemporary designer seems a bit ridiculous, considering for that price you could get a Chanel WOC, Prada Saffiano Lux Tote, Dior Miss Dior bag, etc.

I want to know, what do you guys think? Should I, or should I not, considering that this bag is not the most cheapest of bags?

I don't really like it but if you like it then go for it.

You have seen your friends so you will have a pretty good idea of what its like in person. Whether to drop the $$$ - if you have any doubts then don't get it.
