Hi, I am debating over the new Bon Bon Tote that is pictured in the thread "some new bags to share.." pics. I really love the style and it is lined with the most gorgeous soft leather. Will I be making a mistake paying over $2,0000 for a patent leather bag??? Thanks

It sure is a pretty bag but from personal experience, dark color patent leather drives me CRAZY because I'm always trying to get rid of fingerprints and dust which become VERY pronounced under certain lighting....

I have the black patent leather Luxe Ligne bowler and it doesn't show a thing. Chanel told me the worst patent leather color that does show everything is white.

But I also know fingerprints on my little Vernis Amarante cles can drive me crazy.

Ooh, I didn't see that thread, I LOVE that patent red one, its gorgeous. I don't think you would be making a mistake at all. In my experience with patent leather from chanel, I haven't had any issues. The fingerprints are a bit bothersome, but you can clean those. I say go for it!! I'm going to look into that red one.

i have tried this bag on at the boutique in the patent burgundy and bronze colors. they are really perfect for travel (big and lightweight) and would look very nice on the taller gals!
