I generally believe that most blog/youtube/instagram etc. moppets live in their own private fantasies.
And try to convince the viewer it's how real life works.
Or, they are playing towards particular brands/companies. Hoping to score freebies.

So, to sum up, her ideas are hers.
Not reality or logic or based upon any kind of scientific proof.
Just personal opinions. Presented with a very nicely sculpted eyebrow shape, imo.
But, simply her own opinions.

Probably not pertinent to most other people/world at large.
Just pretty in videos.

"Moppets" - such a good word, and so descriptive of this type of ... creator. I just recently spent time looking for video reviews of a certain bag and my dog, how unusually focused these women are.

Like how ? I have also looked at a couple of bag reviews and I find them weard but I cant really put my finger on what it is :p.

You have to remember, these represent the opinion of one person and one person only. This person in particular has a very strange logic. I looked at a couple of other of her videos, and in one she mentions that buying a pair of CL pumps and wearing them constantly for five yrs was a mistake because they're ruined. She hasn't done any maintenance, re-soled them etc, no care, just wear. No wonder the poor shoes are in a sorry state! (Never mind the fact that any other shoes would have looked worse in less than a year with the way she wears them!)
This same logic seems to follow along with all her purchases. Buy something expensive/high end, don't look after it and keep it in your closet 95% of the time. Not someone to be taken very seriously...

It's just that it's so focused on the one thing, which makes sense, since it's a review. But they are all the same "I am in love with this bag I will love it forever" and the next review I wonder what happened to their one true love...

I thought she was adorable. It's not so serious, just an opinion on how often to wear classic handbags and she clearly stated it was only her opinion and others were free to disagree with her. Shrugs.

Personally, I don't have a problem with special occassion bags in my closet. I have two lovely wristlet/clutches that only come out for weddings, dh's company events, etc.

But if another person LOVED their clutches and chose to carry them on an everyday basis, okay. :)

I don't think her video sounded like here is what I do and you must do it, too. To me, it sounded more like here is what I do, one way to do things, an idea to consider.

If you like wearing your luxury bags everyday, do that. If you like wearing them once a week or once a month, do that. No big deal.

Different strokes for different folks.

She does have nice eyebrows. I sincerely wish I hadn't plucked mine into oblivion back in the 70s, lol.

Of course it's just an opinion, 'to each their own' and all that jazz, however the OP asked what WE think. I personally agree with the OP that beautiful, investment pieces are MEANT to be used and worn!
Here's an example of a discussion I just had with my dad the other day...he came to visit my grandparents, and noticed an expensive bottle of scotch he had gifted them was almost gone. He realized they were offering it to visitors whenever they came, and he seemed surprised that it had been almost extinguished.

I found that funny, because isn't that the point? LOL, you give someone something, you sure hope they use it, right? Or in this case, consume it! What is the point of letting beautiful things gather dust on your shelves? Life is meant to be LIVED, not COLLECTED. I find it be a huge waste of money to hoard your things on shelves, instead of using and loving them. Why invest in gorgeous suits, shoes, bags, and even liquor, simply to admire it from afar? That's not the point of possessing beauty, at least in my estimation. You can look from afar in store windows...but once it's yours, drape yourself in it and love the hell out of it!

Just my .02

THIS! 100000% agree!

When I purchase an expensive, quality piece of clothing or a handbag, I expect it to last (within reason and with proper care/maintenance) and to use them for many years- without too much babying/stress.

If I wanted to buy something just to admire it, I'd buy a painting or statue. [emoji38]

Im not a fan of social media influencers who try to get freebies.

I agree that you shouldnt buy things to not use it, or save it so that you can sell it later for an investment...altho good business model, and those that get a pristine item are glad for these folks, its just not for me. Ironically, I have lots of bags and shoes that I have yet to use, even tho its been years since I bought them. I can only admit to liking to buy things, and sometimes forgetting that I own them. It's like Christmas when I look in my closet sometimes.

Me too. I have so many pairs of shoes I've never worn even though I've owned them for years. I recently decided that was no way for the shoes to live so I listed a ton on ebay. Yes, they are beautiful, but if I haven't worn them in years and they are not super special occasion shoes, I can do without them. I'll take that money and buy something else I won't wear for years
