My husband's Aunt will be turning 96 soon and the family are getting together with her to celebrate; we haven't seen her for a long time. I'd like to give her a little present, but she lives simply and she might not appreciate getting any more "stuff". I don't really know, I'm just thinking of my own Mother when she was in her 90s. Does anyone have a gift suggestion? Thanks!

A beautiful bouquet of flowers or a plant if she prefers.

A day of what pleases her, whether that's a special visit with dear ones, with snacks or sweet treats as she prefers, or an at-home spa couple of hours, customized to what she likes. Even a musical trio playing just for her by Zoom or in person if that's safe. Experiences vs. stuff.

A framed photo of someone, or someplace, that’s meaningful to her. After all, memories are the best gifts….
My neighbor and friend turned 90 in March and I gave her a beautiful personalized vase with her name on it and a lovely verse. I put some flowers in the vase. She loved it! Try Personalizationmall.com for tons of unique gift ideas.
Some luxury single-helping food provisions went down very well with our neighbour (92).
If she lives in a retirement home, are there services in the building you can prepay for her? Such as the hair salon or foot care (pedicure)
A Coach gift?
Thanks! I thought of that but I just don't know what she would like. I've reached out to her daughter-in-law to try and get more information.
What about an edible arrangement or some other special snack? Or a gift certificate to a favorite restaurant?
Scarf/blanket/sweater, older people seem to get get cold fast and appreciate warm stuff even in warm locations
I would choose a beautiful scarf or a piece of jewelry, such as a bracelet or a necklace.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I spoke with her Daughter-in-Law who told me that she only wanted simple, practical gifts. So I gave her some nice Note Cards, a couple of Pens, and sheets of Postage Stamps, along with a Happy Birthday Card and she really appreciated them.

A memorable photo printed on a mug or pillows (or something she uses often).
