Just curious about what others do with their old or unused bags. I have a few (okay more than a few). Do you ebay them? Do you go through another site to sell? Do you garage sell them? Give them away?

Thank you both for responding. I think I'll save a few of them to hand down to my daughter. The rest I am going to give ebay a try. Ohhh so scary! I've never tried to selling anything on ebay before.

I've tried Craigs List but there's not alot of purse shoppers on there so that was a bust...that was hubby's suggestion but he buys/sells automotive parts not handbags!

There's also Bonanza but it's slower than ebay.

I'm trying to figure out what to do with a few bags too. I have a few that will get donated to a thrift store. There's a few that I'm stuck figuring out what do to with. Nothing is especially valuable so I'm wondering if they'll be worth the trouble to list online. If I had friends / family who'd us them I'd give them away but they aren't into bags.

I hear ya, I have some of those too...what to do?...maybe I can lump them into one group and sell them as a package? I once saw a guy post a picture of a box of purses on ebay (didn't list any brands, saying he couldn't make heads or tails of them). He claimed that he and his girlfriend split and he had all of her purses. He just lumped them into one sale and the bidding was crazy.

If they are in good condition and marketable, I'll sell on Bonanza. I've given a couple to my sister. If they have flaws that make me hesitate to sell them, I just keep and try to use occasionally.

If they´re destroyed, I give them to a shoemaker pal of mine, he can always recycle buckles & parts of it.

If they´re mid-level brand (GG&L, Liebeskind, Furla) and still OK, I offer them to my cleaning lady first, as she has two brilliant teen daughters who get them as rewards for good grades.

If they´re top-brand (LV, Gucci), they go to a charity who auctions such pieces and then gives the proceeds to a homeless society.

If it´s a Chloè then it goes to my dearest friend, for I couldn´t let it go and never see it again :D

I don't have the heart to sell any of my bags that I don't use anymore.
They're like a piece of art to me. And each one of them reminds me how hard I worked to get them. I think I will just wait and see if I get a daughter someday, I think she will be delighted. :presents

I had six beautiful Balenciaga bags that were languishing unused and unloved in my closet, which made me sad, so I shipped them off a few days ago to Ann's Fabulous Finds for consignment. In the past I used to sell my bags on eBay, which worked out fine, but ever since my life got super-hectic, it's easier/less stressful to let someone else handle the selling for me even though it means they'll take a cut.
