What cut jeans look better with moccasins?

I'm in the process of reworking my wardrobe and have gotten rid of a lot of my jeans I am getting ready to purchase some new ones but I'm having a hard time deciding what cut. I really love straight leg (Citizens of Humanity Ava to be exact, which are really bordering on skinny) and currently wear the two pairs I have almost all the time with cute sandals. Now that the weather is getting cooler I am going to have to switch to closed to shoes like suede knee high flat boots, moccasins, and the occasional ballet flat. I have one pair of boot cut jeans, so I'm wondering if I should buy another pair of straight legs or another pair of boot cut.

My main concern is about the footwear- I can only wear the brown suede boots with straight jeans which is fine, but do ballet flats and/or moccasins look okay with straight jeans? My mocs are Minnetonka so they are pretty slim and I tried them on and it looks alright, I just wanted some other opinions on whether boot cut or straight looks better.

The outfits I generally wear would be J.Crew-ish type things, maybe a sweater with jeans or a button up striped shirt, very casual stuff.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks! I really don't have much stuff left at all after a series of closet clean outs recently, but I'm trying to make sure everything I get to put back in my closet goes with everything else. My problem before was that I had some cute stuff but then I wouldn't have the right shoes or the right jeans to wear with it so I only had pieces of outfits.

You can't go wrong with straight leg jeans! Especially since you indicated that you love them anyway. I think straight leg is the best cut for ballet flats and moccasins.

I just got the Minnetonka Kilty mocs (completely in love with them btw!!) and I really like them with my wide-leg jeans..specifically my COH Faye and Huttons.

Thanks all! I really don't like wide leg jeans at all and I'm even trying to phase out anything that's flared. I can deal with the mocs with bootcut but after trying it on I think I do prefer the straight legs.

For reference I am 5'8" and have really long legs so I think I can get away with flats with straight. Flared jeans look extra casual on me and wide legs just look funny because I don't ever wear heels.

I like skinnies with flats. I think it's super cute. I have been wanting a pair of moccasins and keep putting them in my cart over and over. LOL. Now, maybe I should finally pull the trigger!
