what color do i buy?

Hello all, i am new to this site and ready to buy my first birkin. I saw a blue jean 35 with gold hardware and loved it. But, i am not sure if this is a smart investment. My name is one the list for a black 35 and my gut tells me i should wait for a black. So, my question for all you collectors , what color is the best investment and should i start with a black or go for a color? Also would any one buy a bag on ebay? It seems the sellers are the same price's as the store's? Thank you for all advice, Nancy

For your first, I'd go with black too!
As for the reseller on ebay, look on the reputable list of resellers here to see if they are on it first. luxury--portal is not but she is a dream to work with.
