Well, like I've said before, I am more geared toward technical or reference books that bring me information about my interests. I rarely read books as a vehicle for telling a story. Here is my wishlist:

Lithops Flowering Stones - Desmond & Naureen Cole
Mesembs of the World - G. Smith, et al.
Parasitic Flowering Plants of South Africa - J. Visser (1981)
Carnivorous Plants of the United States and Canada - D. Schnell

Somewhere out there
So many books, just not enough time.
My ever expanding list:

Sarah's Key ~ Tatiana de Rosnay
Full Dark, No Stars ~ Stephen King
Voyager ~ Diana Gabaldon
Drums of Autumn ~ Diana Gabaldon
The Fiery Cross ~ Diana Gabaldon
A Breath of Snow and Ashes ~ Diana Gabaldon
An Echo in the Bone ~ Diana Galaldon
Pale Demon ~ Kim Harrison
The Book Thief ~ Markus Zusak
The Devil in the White City ~ Erik Larson
Flirt ~ Laurell K. Hamilton
Bullet ~ Laurell K. Hamilton
Fire in the Blood ~ Irene Nemirovsky

I think that is it for now. As you can see, I can't start a series and not finish it. I keep trying to give up on the Anita Blake books, but just can't let them go.

There are way too many books to list but here are 3 that I really want at the moment:

- "The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair that Changed America" by Erik Larson (It's been on my to-read list forever!)
- "Never Let Me Go" by Kazuo Ishiguro (another one that I've been wanting to read for a while!)
- "Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs: A Low Culture Manifesto" by Chuck Klosterman

LisaG719--Looking through your wishlist, I truly encourage you to read Night by Elie Wiesel. I had the opportunity to interview Mr. Wiesel and use his oral history in my doctural dissertation. He is an inspiration and an amazing humanitarian.

Also--if you are interested in memoirs of this genre--Primo Levi's Survival In Auschwitz is another extraordinary book.
