What bags are over ???

According to the Vogue I just got, big, clunky, bags are "in". Don't get me wrong, I love larger bags-I have to carry one that will hold dipers and binkys and like 12 lipsticks-I just want it to also be pretty. Not look like a saddle bag. Maybe the designers were all influenced by Brokeback Mt. this year...

I am really over the Balenciaga motorcycle bags.

LOL - more for me. :P

I am over HUGE bags on small girls. (envision Mary-Kate). If I walked into Fred Segal with a bag the size of a VM bug they would call security on me; with these pint-sized starlets they just help load the goodies in..

I read a funny snarky fashion blog called gofugyourself.com and last week they described the Balenciaga motorcycle bag someone was carrying as "sooo-summer-2005."

Kinda true...

I don't keep up on trends, so I don't really know or care what's in or out. I buy my bags because I like them, and because they fit both my style and personality.

I totally agree with you. I like anything that interests me. My LV bags and future fendi spy and gucci hobo will ALWAYS be bags that I sport. And even when they are considered "OUT" then the will just be vintage:smile:

Any purchase you make should make YOU happy. Lord knows working all those hours to get the bag didn't make you happy (At least for me) And besides, the majority of the public are not "handbag conscience" , unless its monogram, as we are on this forum. If they see your bag and think its nice... then they will give you a compliment. Most of them really wont say .... oh that is so last year.

So true, you have to buy it because you like it and want to wear it.

I agree with a few other people that it shouldn't really matter what the stylemakers are saying, so long as you love a particular bag, it will always be in style.

This is how I am. As long as I like it and can use it, I get it (if I can afford it, LOL).

a bag being an IT bag actually makes me want it less - i don't want to go on a crazy search or spend twice what retail is on ebay and i don't want to see everyone sporting the same thing when it because more pedestrian a year later. so, IMO, it bags are over

The Paddy IMHO. I liked them at first but then I discovered EVERYONE had one. I just personally would rather spend the same cash on a LV or a Chanel b/c they're always classic and go with everything.
