Hi everyone, I'm currently on the hunt for a new bag. What I'd like is something black, can be either a long or short shoulder strap with a possibility of being crossbody, and a bag that is dressy enough for going out at night for dinner,events etc.

I don't ever carry much in my bags just a compact purse, Iphone XS, mini pochette, cles and weather depending, sunglasses so looking for something that can carry all this. I predominantly wear silver jewelry so I am swaying towards the Mylockme based on its hardware.

The ones I am currently looking at are either;
- Louis Vuitton Mylockme BB
-Gucci Marmont flap small
or maybe a preloved Chanel, although I'm not sure if that would suit my lifestyle but would I be better off investing in this?
Would love to hear everyone's experience with these bags and how the hold up etc.

If there's any other bags you think I should look at please let me know! Thank you :smile:

If you haven’t bought your bag already I could suggest you.

From LV The Alma BB in epi leather black Or from Saint Laurent The Sac de Jour the baby or Nano Size

If you are okay going into the contemporary brands

I’d suggest from Michael Kors

The Whitney convertible shoulder bag, the Whitney medium stachel or the medium Mercer Crossbody. The Mercer even though its called medium it’s actually small but it fits all your essentials your mentioning: your sunglasses, a small wallet, a lipstick or lipgloss and iPhone XS

If you are worried about bag longevity, I would perhaps steer clear of Gucci Marmont. I think this bag start looking dated in the next few years. If you want the quilted look, I would say either Chanel flap or a Lady Dior. These won't be going out of style anytime soon as they are both classic bags. I don't find the Gucci to be a classic. While it is no longer the 'it' bag, I think the Celine nano luggage is very classic looking. Another good bag to go from day to evening is Chloe Marci satchel. They are handhelp and, I believe the mini sizes also have crossbody straps while the other sizes have a shoulder strap. Not sure if they offer it in silver hardware though. Chloe also has the Aby Day bag which I have been eyeing. This is a classic-looking understated style that has two-tone hardware so will work with any jewelry pieces.
