Food What are your Food Rules?

No sugar in my coffee(only sweetener),
beef as a treat only once a month,
i don't buy sweets from pastry shops i only have some if they bring it as a gift,
diet sodas only,
eat with almost every meal a salad first!
I think that is about it!!!
 
*stay under 2000 calories a day
*dont eat food high in perservatives and chemicals
*drink lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of H2o
*absolutle NOOOOO fast food!
 
I don't have many rules:sad: I'm generally really good at watching what I eat because I usually like healthy foods.

- Do not replace butter with margarine. Ever!

- Always eat real veggies raw or cooked. However, it's hard to avoid the niblet corn :P

- One coffee per day is good enough (but I rarely listen to that)

There are some good rules here - I really should consider applying some.

Oh one more. I change my mind so often (about anything). So, Wait 15 minutes when having a craving. Usually they go away. If I listen to them right away, by the time I get there or I make it... i'm not satisfied any more.

Try to:
Have protein at each meal
I never go without carbs (couldn't if I tried)
At least 2 servings of fruit/veggie daily
2-3 calcium items daily
LOTS of water
no soda
Lately, not too big on meat (grosses me out)
1600-1800 calories a day
2 coffees a day
 
No meat, especially red meat or pork.
No fast food!
No diet anything.
No canned fruit.
No rotting/bruised/moldy food.
Nothing purchased from a dirty restaurant.
No alcohol after I am incapable of pouring.

I'm sure that I've left some out.
 
No eating after 7pm
NO PORK!
With the exception of the nonfat milk in my Starbucks drinks, no fatfree or sugarfree or diet products.
I'll eat the real thing but in moderation, thankyou very much.
No margerine...sweet cream butter in moderation please.
Thin crust pizza only and NO WHIPPED CREAM on anything. I've always hated whipped cream....
Oh, and custard and flan totally gross me out.
 
hmm well ... I'm pretty lax about my diet, not strict at all aside from the no meat thing.

No getting above a certain calorie amount each day
no meat
nothing too buttery or smothered in butter, but that simply makes me sick.
 
1) No drinking with food and for 30 minutes after each time you eat.
2)No whites! Brown = good. Brown rice, wheat bread, wheat crackers, etc.
3) Full fat cheese - never low fat/fat free when it comes to cheese and ALWAYS name brand
4) Soy milk
5) No red meat - ground turkey is my friend ;)
6) No pork (except for the occasional deli ham)
7) NO SUGAR. Never, ever consume more than 5g of sugar per sitting. Natural sugar, as in fruit, is great.
8) No fried foods
9) At every meal protein comes first. Ex: if you're eating chicken with a side of asparagus, you eat the chicken first, and if you're still hungry when you're done then you eat the asparagus.
10) Opt for soy foods over meats. If I have to eat chicken I will, but if tofu's on the menu I get it.
11) Always use chopsticks for any type of asian dish
12) Spicy is almost always a MUST (eggs + tabasco)

fresh, organic local produce
everything tastes better with a squeeze of lemon and some fresh chopped parsley
No cheap coffee
no low fat cheese
avoid processed foods of all kinds
White wine should be cold
Red wine room temperature
Only one martini, but that martini should be very large, very cold and have many, many olives
 
I'm a veggie too!
  • Absolutely NO fast food, my stomach cannot tolerate it and I will end up sick.
  • I like cheese, but cannot stand melted cheese whether it be on pizza or in sandwiches it must be removed before entering my mouth.
  • I cannot eat with my hands. I'm such a fork-and-knife girl, everything must be eaten this way! ...and I can't stand when people don't hold them properly...
  • No milk! Soy or rice milk all the way!
  • Breakfast consists of yogurt and 3 vitamins and an occasional cup of coffee or tea, i've been like this for the past 2 years.
  • I refuse to eat anything that has been deep fried, I think it's disgusting.
  • My coffee must be served in a clean mug of medium size ( or Starbucks' venti paper cups)
  • I can only drink tea if it is served in a cup and saucer, preferably fine china (I don't know why:confused1:)
  • I can only drink water at restaurants from a straw. Which leads me to...
  • I like bottled water, but only Evian, Fiji, Voss, Vitamin Water, and Earth Water. My favorite bubbly water is San Pellengrino with lemon.
  • I don't mind raw spinach if it's in a salad, but there is NO WAY i'm eating it if it's cooked.
  • I can't stand being full, I feel gross, so i'm always a little hungry.
  • White Bread is a big no-no, only multigrain for me!
  • I love Luna bars! Especially Nutz Over Chocolate.
