Did a search and couldn't find this so hope I'm not repeating a thread.

Sometimes when I buy a bag, I admire the dust bag as much as the bag itself. What are your favorite dust bags? And why?

Mine are:

Cole Haan, Roots (Canadian brand and unfortunately it belongs to dh), MBMJ, and Banana Republic. These are my favourites because they are soooo soft and spacious for my bags. I've noticed some brands like coach and Gucci have changed their dust bags over the years and I find that they keep getting thinner and the quality seems to be declining. I know they're just to put bags in, but I care about them too :)

Oh....I didn't know Banana Repuplic did dust bags - I bought a gorgeous Hot Pink Leather tote the other day (although it was in the sale!) - I might have to search the bay for one.

Chanel -- at least for the dustbag that comes with the classics, didn't think much of the one that came with my Boy -- and Celine and Proenza Schouler. The latter two are thick cotton and feel substantial to touch.

white Chanel dustbag for the classics, the one with the photo of Coco..
i also have the plain black dustbags with the word" Chanel", those are not as nice. given the prices we pay, all dustbags should be the white Chanel dustbags with lots of camellia flowers! :P

Holy Moly - that is a dustbag and a half! I love it.

i love this thread! The MBMJ dustbag has been my favourite. Super thick and soft. But that lockheart dustbag....I want to buy the dustbag for my other bags!!

Wow that is incredible, never seen anything like it. It's like the HG of dust bags lol. Great bag too, love that little back pocket.

It's really something, isn't it? I (only half-jokingly) told my DH I wanted to quit working and make dust bags like this as a career and he laughed and laughed. But not before calculating how many I'd have to make and sell and at what margin to make even a modest income. Now it's an inside joke for us when I've had a tough day. "Honey, when can I quit my job to make artisanal bag bags?" He finds it hard to believe that people would buy such a thing, but he doesn't know us tPFers

I bought my bag a few years ago and it was a large tote, and the dust bag was massive, twice the size of my tote. I think they still make dust bags. Maybe you can call the store and see if they have an extra one?

Ohh fun thread. I love my mulberry dust bag that is for my Bayswater. And my brahmin ones are really nice too. I cannot stand the coach dust bags. They are so thin and flimsy. I prefer the super soft thick plush like ones.
