Ok ladies...I'm a newbie here, so please forgive me.
I cannot, for the life of me find the link I saw the other day about the apple care spray. I want to make sure that I get the correct stuff, but I cant find it. Can someone help me please???
I use the Apple moisturizer/conditioner and the spray on my pearlized Parker leather bags. Moisturizer first, rub in well, let dry thoroughly and then spray. Just rub in gently to avoid rubbing off any of the pearlized finish (I use a soft white cloth and have had absolutely no color come off).
It does help protect the bag from the rain, though I try my best to keep my bags out of the rain anyway. I usually do one or two coats the first time (before I wear the bag), and then do another after I've worn the bag for a few weeks. It works just like the spray you would use for leather or suede shoes or boots, and also helps protect it from stains. The Apple spray does have an odd smell, IMO, but that goes away after a couple of days and you'll get that yummy Coach leather smell back.
I've used the apple leather care and the garde spray on my parker hippies and it works great. The pearlized finish is pretty sturdy and holds up well. The leather got dingy in one small area because of the ballchain I used to attach a charm to the ring. I rubbbed pretty hard with the leather care and got no color transfer, and the dinginess went away!
The spray is awesome - it makes the rain bead up and roll right off. Spray one coating and let it dry at least 30 minutes. Repeat. Apply the apple leather care all over the bag and let dry at least 30 minutes. Repeat. Conditioning with the apple leather care after spraying helps the leather retain it's moisture as the garde spray can be slightly drying to the leather.
And definately check out the link toby11 posted as that will have lots of info for you
