Today was a sweltering August day, so I decided to give my horse the day off. What to do? Go shopping in air conditioning, of course! I thought I'd take a little trip to H in Boston to have a look-see at everything, and pick up a refill for my Globetrotter.

After a miserable drive (traffic was horrific, everyone must have been heading to the beach), and a glimpse at a roadside thermometer that read 97 degrees F, I had made it to my Mecca.

Then I decided to look at the purses, just for a lark. They had a gorgeous Blue Jean Togo SB I, an incredible Rouge Clemence Lindy (their new red, I was told, more of a Bricque, I'd say), a Twill Garden Party trimmed in that same red Clemence, a to-die-for Bolide in a brown Courchevel, and not one, but three Croc Birkins with a be-gloved SA showing them to a group of Asian women trying to decide whether to take one now, or order one in a different colour scheme.

It was then that I got into trouble... :cool:
