It's a classic, and that's why you see a lot around. I do think it's too common (at least the mono canvas). But if you are loving it, then all that doesn't matter and you should just get it.

The Speedy is such a great bag! Strangely enough, I see more BH's around here than Speedies. Even more weird was seeing three Ellipse MM's in one day last week!

I am planning to purchase a Speedy 30 in the Damier. I already own the Monogram 25 and it's been a great bag. I don't carry it as much (right now) just b/c it's all over the place, but I'll never get rid of it. It is a classic and I will definitely be carrying it again.
