Weight of a LV speedy?

I just bought a pre-loved LV speedy, and the weight of it is very very light. Without anything in it, it feels as if I'm carrying a plastic bag. That is how light it is. Is this common? I always imagined it would feel heavier.

Yup sounds normal! Canvas is very light and is one of the main attractions of LV's canvas line.

If you got the leather speedy's (empreinte or epi), it would be a little heavier.

You ARE carrying a plastic bag! 😄🍾🐬
It's cotton canvas coated in vinyl. It's very light, waterproof, and very durable. On the Speedy there is only leather pipping and leather handles.

I adore the Speedy because I have shoulder and back problems and it's sooooo light!!! Very easy bag to carry! You will love it!
