  1. Megs and I welcomed our baby boy earlier this month and wanted to share the news with the TPF community. Come say hello to Baby Vaughn!

  1. So I spend most weekends in the mountains in a very rural setting. I want a pair of boots that are capable of going from tramping around on dirt paths to going to lunch in town. It probably wouldn't be smart to pay a lot because of the mud, the dogs, et cetera.

Anyone have any idea of something cute but rugged and comfortable? I really don't want Timberlands.
  2. I know you said you didn't want to hear Timberland, but they've got some less sporty models which worked out well for me when I was looking for exactly what you are looking for.

I wear a pair similar to the attached, but in brown.

If you definitely don't want anything from Timberland, try Bass.
  3. Those are really cute. Thanks!
  4. I just bought the Doc Marten Stephanie high boot from Zappos, and they are perfect for the country. Look at them online. They are so comfy though!! I've worn them almost every day since I got them. They don't sell them in half sizes, though, I am a 7.5 and they run smaller, so I got a 7 and they are absolutely perfect!
  5. LL Bean duck boots? Not my style but my friend from Maine swears by them.
  6. Merrell makes some great boots!
