I agree, if it were just a casual acquaintance or work colleague, then you wouldn't be expected to bring a gift, just a card, whether you were invited to both the ceremony and reception, or just one of them.

But as she's a friend of yours, then i'll echo everyone else and say 'bring a gift':yes: :flowers:

Yeah, I've heard of the reverse-being invited to the ceremony but not the reception b/c it typically doesn't cost the couple to invite people to the ceremony, but it costs money to invite people to the reception.
