I have a 3 carat harry winston engagement ring. the band is very thin and dainty and i almost think wearing it with a wedding band stacked wouldn't look at good as wearing it solo, on my right hand, for example. Or perhaps I haven't found a good wedding band to match yet.

if you have dainty band as your e-ring, how do you ladies wear your engagement rings? On your right or left hand, stacked? if you wear them together, posting up pics would be much appreciated! :D

also, i know some ladies must have the weddng band sit flush against the e-ring but i actually like the gap between the two bands..makes it looks more blingy which i like. yet, oddly enough, i'm not a fan of the split shank e-ring for some reason.

i still don't have it yet...i finally settled on one a few days ago (after several weeks of searching) and it won't be ready for a few weeks.

I googled online and it looks similar to this ring except the solitare is larger:

I'll be sure to post once in the post up your e-ring thread once I receive it

Perhaps, your 3 carat HW's micro pave ring looks more similar to this pic., I guess.

When your e-ring's arm is VERY dainty, you should adjust the size of the ring exactly to your ring finger. In my case, I have a big knuckle (size 6), but my finger is actually 4.5~6. I cannot wear my e-ring solo. I have to stack my wedding bands or hold e-ring between the bands...

Anyway, I can't wait to see your ring!:smile1:
I want to have a HW's halo ring some time~~~

wwops, the size of my ring finger is 4.5~5.
Unfortunately, the size of my annular finger is 6.5 ( I mean, the "knuckle"), so I cannot wear my e-ring on the right hand. Sigh...

einseine, i have the same problem and so i had a finger mate put on my ring( they have to cut and solder it on) - it opens the shank (expands) so it can go over the knuckle and the snaps tightly shut. my stone is over 4 carats and it was always turning so I added sizing beads inside (not a problem getting it on) and now it sits dead center on my finger without turning.
your ring is very pretty. A simple plain diamond band woud look nice and not take away from the setting. If you want more bling you could do a heavy wedding band
and wear the e ring on your right hand. check out pricescope - tons of pics of rings and bands similar to yours for ideas.

shanam, thank you for your kind advice!
I know you have a HUGE pear diamond ring.:yahoo:Very gogeours!!!
I am always annoyed with my turning ering. I often find the center stone on the palm side. If the ring had a wider band, it wouldn't turn easily, but I like a thinner, simple look band to spotlight the center stone!
I have never heard of a ring mate. It can open the shank and go over the knuckle?? Amaging invention! I'll check it out. Thanks so much!

^^^^thank you for your compliment:smile1:
I will post a photo tomorrow in the daylight of what a finger mate looks like open and closed so you will see what i mean by it "expanding" . i will also show you where my sizing beads are - they really keep my ring centered.

Not a compliment at all. IMO, to wear a huge diamond, you need matching personality and life style. It seems it is natural for you to wear a huge diamond. That's nice! Await your further info.:smile1:

I never gave a thought of the relationship between the size of my stone to my personality-interesting! Here are the pictures of my ring with the Finger-Mate open and then closed. You can see the sizing beads. The closure snaps very tight so you do not have to worry - in fact you need to use your fingernail to get the edge open. Finger-mate has a site where you can be sent a jeweler in your area.:winks:

I would be wearing both rings on one finger. I specifically made sure my rings would all stack flush on purpose. I rarely wear my ering and wedding band without the other.

Gah I didn't finish...

I LOVE the rings, and I also have sizing beads in my solitaire. My knuckles are full size bigger than my finger, if not a bigger gap than that. So I have my rings sized up with sizing beads to fill that space. They still spin like mad in the winter but there's not much I can do about that.

shanam, thank you so much for your taking & posting pics!!!
Looking at the pics, I said, WOW, but I did not quite understand how, so
I have been to PriceScope and searched "ring mate."
There are other makers producing this type of product
under the different names!!

I will further check! Thank you again!!!:p
