Hi im excited about my firdy ks pieces. How do these items particularly saffiano hold up? Also my lining is white and black dots. Do u find putting cash in these wallets makes them get dirty? The price point is just amazing
Feel like ks used to pricier and has come down as the economy turned?

Based on my general experience with saffiano (not specific to KSNY):

PROS
  • easy to maintain (short term)
  • no conditioning needed
  • scratch resistant
  • water resistant
CONS
  • harder to repair (long term)
  • can feel like plastic
  • not as luxurious

To address your second query: Kate Spade uses several different linings. It depends on what kind of lining is in your wallet. Textured cotton lining tends to pick up dirt easier than the smooth polyester lining.

Accessible luxury items often go on sale to give the illusion of a good deal. I remember reading somewhere that Coach factory stores are responsible for 60-70% of Coach's overall revenue. Kate Spade has multiple "surprise" sales every year, and they rely on a number of outlets to generate sales. But some contemporary brands are starting to scale back the discount outlets to avoid overexposure.

The KS purses I have made of Saffiano have endured very well. No issues with cleaning them up, no tears, no wear. I've even been caught in the rain (without an umbrella, of course) and my Cedar Street Maise had droplets and they quickly evaporated. It's very durable!

I worry about crushing saffiano. Unlike regular leather, it can develop creases that can't be straightest out or at least I haven't been able to. I read that if that happens, try stuffing the bag so the crease straightens out and put the bag in the bathroom when you take a shower so the hot steam can straighten the crease.

The saffiano wallets seem very durable. I just ordered one with the 25% sale, and am excited to try. The light lining does get dirty but by that time comes around, I am no longer paranoid since the item is no longer new.

My mom just bought a ks bag in saffiano leather. She will use this bag for her flight instead of her original plan to put it in her luggage because shes worried it might dent or something.

I've had my Lacey Saffiano leather wallet in black for 2+ years and it still looks brand new. When I was researching on which one to get back then the only negative feedback I saw for it was that the zipper pull was also made of saffiano. Because of this it would end up bending. I've just been careful to not bend it when I open/close it and it's good as new!

I also have a hot pink Maise in saffiano. I accidentally spilled coffee on it (lukewarm) and I was able to wipe it off with a wet rag. :)
