I'm seriously on the market for a new watch, preferably two-tone  Quite honestly, my go-to is the Michael Kors Cooper in SS.

While I love it to death, I'm looking for a new watch. Something "classier" (bigger name brand) and thinner. Case size between 32-37 mm. Movement doesn't matter! My budget is around $1,000.

If anyone has a watch like this, would you mind posting pics?? The world is abundant with beautiful watches so it'd be better to have some suggestions to go off of :p

Very nice looking watch!

When you say you want to move up in the world, are you focusing mainly on fashion brand type watches? (I guess Gucci would be a step up in price.) Or were you thinking quality, such as jewellers and watches with Swiss movements?

If it's the former then Movado use Swiss movements in some of their watches and there are some chronographic styles.

If it's the latter then Bulova is a good brand with a wide spectrum of prices. They use Swiss movements and my own Bulova is TT 18k rose gold with diamonds and an automatic movement. I adore it!

Invicta do some stunning designs I think you'd like, and use mother of pearl and diamonds so look very beautiful and classy. Again, a Swiss movement, which I definitely think adds to the classiness of a watch.
This one's a beauty and around $900.

Thank you!

Definitely quality
I wouldn't be opposed to seeing something more fashion-inclined as long as the brand isn't presented in a flashy way. I tend to prefer more "inconspicuous" designs... hopefully that makes sense!

I added to my first post

I'll also add that Tissot do some beautiful watches, all Swiss made and some really beautiful watches at your price point. Even the cheaper ones will be a really lovely upgrade from your MK.

I've fallen in love with a giant men's one! A SS Chemin des Tourelles.

Thank you so so much! I'll definitely check out all those brands. That Invicta watch is nice and pretty close to my style, but just too busy for the type of upgrade I'm going for  But I'll definitely see what else they have to offer.

As for Tissot, I've already seen a few models I really like... namely, the Tradition and Chemin des Tourelles... but I don't *love* them

Oh I know what you mean! There are loads of watches I like, even a couple I love. But if it came to pulling the trigger then I just wouldn't. It took me a year of looking before I settled on mine :) It had everything I wanted except MOP, but in hindsight I think that would have made it too busy, and the textured sunburst dial is perfect.

Look for the Michele watches at the rack!
Thank you! I did and while I do like the round case style, I didn't love them :(

That watch is gorgeous!! Absolutely beautiful. Really quite close to the general style I'm looking for :) What case size is that?
I'm glad you understand the struggle, lol! I've seen a bunch that I like, but none that really "hit the spot," if you know what I mean :amuse: I'm going to go search up that brand and see if anything stands out! Thanks!

Thank you :) it's 41mm and actually a men's watch! (Despite being so beautiful!)
I'm on the chubby side and have a medium, muscley build so the size does me good. Even if I lost a couple of stone, the lugs would still sit on the top of my arm and not creep over the edge, which is how I personally judge if an oversized face is just too big.

I did try on a 36mm round face but it looked a bit daft on me. However, the medium size tank franchise looks alright on me. It's just the price tag that's the problem

You are too funny!

I'm so surprised that's a men's watch! Looks so gorgeous and perfect on you. I agree with the oversized commentary; that's how I judge if it's too large as well. This MK watch is a 38-39 mm, and any bigger would be too much
