Hi everyone, im considering buying a gold tank watch that is pre owned. It looks like it has some noticeable dings and scratches on the gold case. Does anyone know the extent to which Cartier can buff these out? would appreciate any input

Yes Cartier will service your watch, assuming that it is authentic and doesn't appear on a register of stolen watches. Be aware that Cartier service fees are some of the highest in the watch world.
You’ll have to discuss with the service centre what degree of buffing/polishing you desire. Many watch collectors won’t buy a watch that has been polished, so if you ever want to sell it, think carefully about polishing.
