Any opinions on a watch for $2-3K? I'm thinking maybe an automatic rather than quartz (although I realize they are somewhat bulky).
Any thoughts on Omega?
I've seen Omega at Costco and generally I trust Costco but with a watch at this price, not sure whether the savings would be worth the risk in case of a problem.
Any opinions from watch lovers?
thanks

in that range I'd buy Omega from an authorized jeweler only. They'll knock 20-25% off MSRP if you ask. Omega is very nice, tier up from Tag.

I love Costco, but definitely go to an authorized jeweler. I bought an Omega 2 years ago. The battery went after 6 months. They replaced it and did tons of work on it because of how crazy it was to have a watch stop working that quickly after purchase. If I did not have the warranty, it would have cost $500 to those repairs.

The Cartier Tank Solo, like momma22 suggested is a great watch. I have a few girlfriends who wear them and they look fantastic. As with Cartier so elegant and classic.
