Hi guys- i got a lovely pink face cartier roadster for my bday fron hubby and i love it to death, but a very good freidn of mine and watch seller has given me the cahnce to buy a rolex perpetual datejust with copper face.. do you think the watches are too simialr cuz of the faces? i also read on here you could change rolex faces? how does one do that is it expesnive?

my other watches are a white j12 , a chopard happy sport oval face, 2 corums one with a blue face one with a mother of pearl and a van der baude with like a light brown face..

all opnions needed...

It would depend on whether you see them for their differences or not I think... Cartier is "busier" what with the roman numerals. Rolex has the round face. IMO they are similar, but you have to ask yourself whether the fact that it is a Rolex makes a big enough difference. Personally I prefer the cartier watch. I'm not sure about changing Rolex faces. HTH

i dont see them the same excpet that the faces are colored but hubby brought i tup and made me hesitant which is hwy i decided to put up this thread..

im not sure about changin the face either but i remember reading on here that i can be done

I have the same cartier watch in silver face and love it! Personally i don't think they are too similar. And i like Rolex with diamond markers, this one looks a bit plain....

thnkas- does anyone know about changin the rolex face? am thinking of doing that to either white or black just so i have a semi netrual watch.. ( i am now wishing i had gotten the raodster with white face just so its more classic)

I don't think they are to similar at all...and I think that the pinkish "salmon" face on the Rolex is pretty neutral, not like a pinky pinky. I know that Rolex does allow you to change the dial, according to my AD you can change the dial any time you just can't change it to mother of pearl if the orginal face isn't MOP....I don't know why...When you send it to Rolex to change the dial they will also probably send it back looking like new. You just have to make sure that when you send it to them, alll the parts of the watch are orginal Rolex parts.
