Why is it important to buy a watch with a VALID AUTHORZED DEALER STAMPED WARRANTY? Does the manufacturer not honor a watch warranty without one?

You guarantee the authenticity of the watch with it, and you make sure that the warrenty is valid

most manufacturers will also accept the dated receipt in place of the warranty card. i don't mind not having the filled out/stamped card, because personally i've never needed to get service during warranty period. and dated receipt from authorized seller has always been enough for me to get the watch tuned up, etc.

Rolex and Breitling DO NOT accept the watch for warranty repair if the card/certificate is not completed by the AD.
