Watch advice

I'm looking to buy a watch in the $600-800 price range. I'd love something classic with a simple face (but also love tonneau shapes like the Bedat No. 3 <http://www.bedat.com/collection-n-3.html>), numbers throughout the face (i.e., no Movado-styling), and a leather band. If I had the budget, I'd get a Cartier tank solo!

Can you please advice on some good brands with this sort of styling in my price range? I'd like the best quality timepiece I can afford.

I love my Bedat! Definitely consider it. I would also look at Baume & Mercier, Longines, Raymond Weil and Michele. You can expect to get at least 20-30% off retail if you negotiate with jewelers.

Even with that discount, I don't think I'll be able to get a Bedat sadly. Is Concord comparable in quality to Baume & Mercier and Longines and of the three brands, is one notably better?
