Recently purchased this pre-loved Mini Caviar Classic Flap, from (possibly) the 18S collection for $4,995 USD.

Got it off Fashionphile and it was described as “excellent” condition.

I know that the caviar was discontinued in the mini size, so I assumed it was a good buy (plus I love the color) but wanted to see what you all thought?

Thank you! I have another mini & my SA gave me a little strap clip to adjust it. I’m pretty sure you can find them on Amazon. Have you tried those out?

Depends on what bag originally cost I suppose. I bought a new black Caviar about the same size as this one from the Chanel store in beverly hills for less.

For the resale market, I think that is a good price for caviar mini rec. Looks like it's great condition (what is that white mark on the back of the bag, left side tho?) so as long as you love the color.... you're winning :flowers:

I was following this bag in my FP account! Glad it went to a tpf member!
I’m really not familiar with Chanel (only have 1!), so I can’t weigh in on whether it was a good deal or not, but it’s a beautiful bag. Enjoy your new pretty!

For classic bags (cf, mini, etc) we have to consider the current retail value and not just the sale price at time of release. If the boutique had this bag in storage today they would sell it for current retail and gone are the days of 3k minis and 5k classic :sad:

@chanelC26 I would say the price is decent for caviar mini if the condition is excellent or like new. But the more important question is if you like this bag and would wear it.

I think it's a great purchase. Look at what mini's cost right now plus tax, I don't think this bag is overpriced. Plus it's in caviar (which I actually adore and you cannot get anymore) and in a color you love. I'm quite fond of reds/ pinks that have a little bit of coral in it. The color is intense, so less prone to color transfer.

Congrats and wear it in great health.

Great price for a caviar mini, especially if you like the color. The white mark might be removable by Leather Surgeons, depending on what it is. I love my caviar mini rectangular and even more so now after I got the strap shortened by Leather Surgeons. The ribbon tying trick got annoying after a while, not to mention it twisted the strap around which isn't great for the leather IMHO.
