Was there a mulberry VIP club around 2000-2010?

While exploring vintage Mulberry bags, I came across a story that around 2010, or possibly earlier in the 2000s, there was a mulberry VIP club for loyal customers. This club supposedly had access to special models of bags that were not available to other customers, making these bags particularly unique and sought after in the second-hand market.

However, I am skeptical about the authenticity of this story and suspect it might be a fabrication by the seller to justify a higher price. Can anyone verify this information?

I was pretty obsessed with Mulberry in the late 00s (including posting here under an old username!) and there was never any talk of a VIP club or exclusive designs, so I think you’re right to be suspicious.

No that doesn’t ring any bells.
There were always outlet specials. And I believe they did take bespoke orders for a short while.
