Warning: Do not use My Pouppette!!

After buying a pair of fake prada boots on Ebay, I filed a dispute with Paypal. They referred me to My Pouppette who they said would authenticate my boots. By the way, I called the Prada stores in New York; they will not authenticate. My Pouppette took my $50 dollars and after two weeks and numerous unanswered emails from me, they wrote that their prada shoe specialist was not available and that they would issue a refund. They never did! They do not give a phone number, their live chat is disabled and they do not respond to emails. I complained to Paypal and they gave me the $50 but I filed a complaint with the BBB against My Pouppette. :tdown:

Today I received a response from the BBB. They, too, attempted to contact My Pouppette twice with no reply. They are posting this information on their website and it will be available to the public for 3 years.

This company is a SCAM!! Please do not use them!!

Like sarahloveslouis said, there ar ea lot of threads on the forum about mypoupette and there is another website, I can't recall the name.. that everyone uses who seems to have a MUCH better customer service. You might want to check that out.

Thanks for the heads up! I think that the absolute best way to go in the future is to have it authenticated in the forums here. I'm so sorry that you're having to deal with this at all.

The only problem with that ^ is that PayPal won't accept our votes of UNauthenticity as a means to decide a claim. They have a short list of people they will accept aside from the manufacturer themselves.

MyPoupette is awful- they'll give you excuse after excuse without ever giving you a straight answer on whether or not the good in question is authentic. I had to threaten them with a PayPal dispute just to get a response :tdown:

I just had to comment on the My Poupette thing. Last year I sold one of my LV handbags on ebay. I was reported by My Poupette because they "claimed" it was fake. Well I knew darn well it wasn't so I got to researching them and ebay sellers as well that are endorsed by My Poupette. In the mean time I drove 4 hours from home to make sure that my bag was real, and of course, as I suspected all along, it was!!

Then it occured to me.....have you noticed that all the LV sellers on ebay that have the "paid" endorsements could be selling a fake, but most people wouldn't notice, nor would they check into it, just because they have a piece of paper from My Poupette stating the fact.

I saw some fishy stuff to say the least. I even once thought about the fact, that this could be a front for fake sellers to be able to sell their items and get away with it. I know all this may sound bizzare, but after checking out the items that the endorsed sellers are selling on ebay I really had to question whether they are trustworthy!

I get irritated when I see the MPRS moniker on listings for other designers such as chanel, gucci, fendi, marc jocobs etc....

My pouppette was supposed to be for authenticating LV only.(please correct me if I am wrong) that being said, I feel many bidders are mislead into a false sense of security assuming that MPRS status makes the seller an expert authenticator for any brand they happen to be selling.
