Wardrobe breakdown: luxury vs contemp vs budget

I don't categorise my wardrobe by market segmentation, I leave that to the industry. Since I've ended up being the target market for all my clothes, much of the industry seems misinformed.

I am mindful of 'dry-cleaning only' and mostly those pieces are party or outerwear.

I buy and wear Saint Laurent with Primark with M & S with Artful Dodger with vintage with couture with Doc Martens and always have done. I think most people do. It's just as hard to get my size/colour of something in Cos mid-season as it is to get the latest of-the-catwalk piece in Gucci.

I don't browse except for fun. I usually know exactly what I'm looking for so that could be at any 'level'. I don't keep anything that's been a disappointment, donated, given, gone.

100% my wardrobe is Papertiger.
At the end of 2024, I added I bunch of Skins pieces for casual wear, a Sprung Freres shearling coat etc, and pruned out pieces which weren’t working.

I still want to add more designer pieces and bespoke, but like @papertiger , my wardrobe is 100% Cecchetti ..

This is fun. I also mix high end and cheap stuff.

Bags - 80% high end (Hermes, Chanel, Loewe, Loro Piana),
20% mid-range (Gucci, Celine, LV, Fendi, Prada, etc)

Jackets - 90% mid-range (Moncler, Burberry, Mackage, Canada Goose), 10% under $170-$500.

Shoes- 2 pairs of Hermes sneakers, some Prada flip flops, some Burberry flip flops, and 70% of other shoes under $200.

Clothing- 100% cheap stuff. Uniqlo, Shein, Forever21, Halara, Quince, OGLmove. (With the exception of a few cashmere sweaters and hoodies)

Accessories-
100% fine jewelry (earrings, bracelets, rings, necklaces) & 4 Chopard watches and one 3-year-old Samsung Galaxy watch that I wear daily
