So lately I've been thinking about buying another Coach purse but I don't have alot of funds currently. I've been trying to sell/trade my Kelsey Satchel to fund my next bag and I've had offers but there mostly low ballish prices. What does everyone do in this sort of issue, besides the ovious fact of getting more money. Looking at getting a siggy file bag or more of a organized Satchel with or without top handles.

Hanging around this forum helps a bunch. People post info and pics way early and that helps me plan accordingly. I'm a little off track now because I haven't been on this forum much so I'm scrambling now. For example the big seasonal collections are usually posted on here at least a season before they actually end up in stores so you time to save. Well, that's how I do it anyway. If you can, search on here for fall items or fall 2017 thread. The fall collections are usually big buys for me. I think I've seen some already on here. I believe Pre-Fall will be in stores any day now.

Make sure to check out the sales. You just missed the Mother's Day sale which had items (except 1941) for 30% off. Get acquainted with an SA who can help you find what you want.

I don't find that selling a bag to fund another bag is very successful. You never get as much for the bag you sell as you paid, and you'll likely have to sell several bags to fund one. If I was short on funds, I'd shop on ebay or other second-hand venues. If you aren't set on a particular new style, older styles are usually available much cheaper, some new with tags. I bought a Coach bag NWT just before Christmas at 1/3 retail. Even when Coach eventually put it on sale, it never got as cheap as I got it on ebay. Just make sure to get it authenticated if you don't buy it from an authorized retailer.

I agree resale values over here in the Uk are poor as the brand isn't so popular

So, here is what I do, I tend to buy my coach bags on ebay. Usually if you look you can get them for 40 to 50% off and they have been used one or twice. You just have to hunt a little.

I've been liking more expensive bags lately and since they don't go to the outlet anymore, I just buy them on ebay. I bought the cornflower blue rogue for $455, used it a lot for 3 months. Then, stopped using it. So, I sold it on ebay for $420. If you take out the ebay fee and the paypal fee, I sold it for about $360. Then, that let me buy another bag.

I tend not to buy the less expensive Coach bags, so I don't know if this works as well. But, this is my game plan. I have about 14 bags in my closet and I never have more than that. I'm just going to do the ebay recycle thing.

Agreed, quite often the secondary market is chalked full of NWT options or barely used. I myself have picked up a few new bags but at very low cost even compared to the outlet. Good luck!
