Wallets similar to LV Zippy Compact? Or Coach Medium Zip Around?

Hi!

I'm looking for recommendations & ideas for wallets similar to the LV Zippy Compact which has been discontinued for several years now.

I like that this style is smaller than an accordion zip, but still has plenty of card slots + a place for bills + zip compartment for coins, and it opens almost flat.

I don't have a set budget or specific designer/brand it needs to be - I'm more concerned with quality & functionality. Coach has a medium zip around that has the function I want but the leather feels cheap & plastic-y. Bonus if it is a fun color that will pop inside my bags.

Thank you!

The LV Zippy Compact is my favorite wallet ever. I don’t know why LV discontinued the style. I still use a DA version and I’m hanging on to it no matter what. You can still sometimes find these on the pre-loved market, but for one in good condition it’s pricey.

@baglady17 is correct about a pebbled leather version at Coach. I bought it at least a year ago, but longer than that I believe. It’s a good wallet and functions like the Zippy Compact, but the leather isn’t the quality of the old Coach leather.

If anyone knows of another brand that makes this wallet, I’d be interested to know as well. Good luck finding one.

Hi,
I have the coach version medium zip from the outlet. While the leather is more like a saffiano leather, it really is a great wallet. I haven't had any issues at all with it, and the wallet fits in most of my handbags. You may try the coach boutiques to see if they have a pebbled leather version. Good luck!
Hi. I was just at the Coach store a week ago and they only had this in crossgrain. I'm kicking myself because I think there was a pebbled version years ago that I wish I had purchased when it was available but I didn't 'need' another wallet so I waited and now the pebbles seem to be gone. I might try the crossgrain one out because I do love the style. Thank you

It is my favorite too. I have one in epi leather and would love to get another if I could find a reasonably priced resale one (not above retail for worn/torn which is what I usually seem to see).

If I happen to come across something comparable, I'll try to remember to update here with pictures.

Check out this latest post by our own @tbestes about Hyer Goods - looks like they've got at least two wallets that might fit your requirements.

Thank you for the suggestion. While none of their wallets are what I'm looking for (their zip wallet only has 3 card slots and the travel wallet doesn't zip), I'm always up for finding new brands to try out and I like their goal of sustainability.

Hey, you might be done with your search by now! But have you seen this YSL wallet that lays flat? Might fit your needs...

Thank you! I've been trying to downsize/curate my collection a bit over the last few years and am still filling in a few holes (or trying to find more functional replacements for a few things), so the search never ends.
