hey everyone, I’m just curious about everyone’s experience who has had Vline procedure done in the past. Did you guys only get bone shaving done or did the doctor also do cortical bone shaving as well? As far as I know, bone shaving doesn’t really change the front of your face, instead you see the change for your side profile ( correct me if I’m wrong) .

(I had jaw reduction done but with only bone shaving and no corticol . Almost a year since the surgery and my front face is still wide so I’m considering going for revision and doing cortical bone shaving this time but not touch the angle of the jaw anymore)


Any thoughts and Suggestions will be much appreciated! Thanks

I have the exact same issue and am having revision in 2024 with genioplasty to fix my short chin and more bone shaving only from near the ears where there is now a sharp angle, along with cortical bone shaving.
