Vivienne Westwood runs insanely small?

I just got a top off eBay - labeled an IT38/US 4 by Vivienne Westwood itself. It's FREAKING TINY. Does the entire label run incredibly small? I'm thinking I'll need to go 42 for my next Vivienne Westwood purchase...

i haven't ever noticed it running exceptionally small. having said that, i'd never convert an IT38 to a US4, it's more like a 0-2. a lot of the time the US conversions on european labels seem off to me, i always go by the size of the country it's made in and it seems to work most of the time.

Yep I'm normally a 4 although a bit larger in the top, I'm a 42-44 in VW! Depends on the cut of the top and whether you want it loose or baggy. I would get measurements to be on the safe side

OP the conversion is incorrect. An Italian 38 is a US 2

Yeah, I know a 38 is a 2.... but the label itself says 38/4. Odd, huh?

Yeah, VW has the conversion on her labels wrong. They state an Italian 44 is a UK 12, which is correct but says it's a US 10....definitely wrong!
