Hello all, first of all, I want to be clear that I do not wear replicas, and would never purposefully buy one. I stumbled across these two bags a few weeks ago, strangely enough they were not purchased at the same location. When I bought them I had no idea what they were, I only know that the zippers on them reminded me of vintage Chanel zippers, and the leather reminded me of Chanel caviar leather. I assume that I was just buying a 1980s vintage very nice quality bag. I'm obsessed with vintage and handbags, so for the price I thought I might as well take them and enjoy them for what they were worth - nice quality vintage bags. I googled the marking on the lobster clasp of the black bag (hs 50) which is what led me to this forum, and made me believe I had some sort of vintage replica hermes box trim bag. The brown bag, I cannot even remember what I googled, but a hermes tsako bag came up. What puzzles me is how nice the quality of both bags are... I'm just wondering if anyone knows anything about them? Was there a vintage designer that copied them? Or????? If this doesn't belong in this forum I'm so sorry, I'm just genuinely curious and can't find any info anywhere!

Many Italian, French and Spanish workshops use to copy the 'it' bags of their day. They were mostly for tourists or just people who wanted nice bags but couldn't afford 'the real thing'.

That makes sense! I've been trying to find out the snap and zipper maker, but all I can find is vintage Chanel bags used the zippers. I recognize the snap from other bags but I can't place it right now. Is there any way to find out more about it? As a Hermes it leaves a lot to be desired lol, but as a vintage bag it's absolutely fascinating!
