Vintage Chanel? Really good fake???

I bought this at a thrift store for next to nothing. And because of that I never really worried about it's authenticity. I've just found it at the back of my closet :wacko: I don't think I've seen her in 2 years:wacko:
I knew from the label that it didn't look right, but the leather was and is TDF. It's soft soft soft and squishy thick. And the way it cinches up is really cool (I've photographed)
I don't even know if it's an actual Chanel style.

Anyhow, just wanted to see if there were any members in here who could give me some insight, where I absolutely lack!

I'm horrible with vintage.. the label does look funny though. I can't imagine Chanel ever using an interior label like that. Does it say 'made in France' anywhere? Also, I don't know why but the chanel logo looks strange to me, I just don't know why.

I think the logo looks funny too, and the label...
But I'm wondering, were there high scale replicas made in the 70's and 80's? Because the design, and materials are really superb.

I wish I could find this bag in a thrift store! Again, it's very cute and has the same basic design as a tote that was carried by Jessica Simpson recently ( there are pics on this board.) Enjoy it!

its beautiful! why not go to chanel store and have it authenticated. I dont know but it strikes me that i dont think people fake bags in the 70's and 80's :)

I saw the photo of Jessica and remembered my bag!!:laugh:

Hey there!

I bet it's a real bag. I don't think fake manufacturers take the time or cost to use exceptional materials. While the tag does look funny, I've never seen a Chanel from the 1970's so its very possible the its a legitimate tag.

What a great find!

Since I had forgotten it existed until the Jessica Pics, I decided to list it on eBay.
Let her go to someone who could really use her.
(yes, the buyer will know what I know on the authenticity!)
